Terms of Service

By using Turfgrass.in (the "Platform") you agree to these terms. Please read carefully — they're written in plain English.

This page is the short, plain-English summary. For the full long-form contract that governs every Player's use of the Platform — covering bookings, payments, cancellations, conduct at the turf, liability, indemnity, data, and dispute resolution — see the Player Service Agreement. The two documents are consistent; where they appear to conflict, the Player Service Agreement prevails.

1. What Turfgrass.in is and isn't

Turfgrass.in is a marketplace that connects players (people who want to book a sports turf) with turf owners (independent businesses that operate turfs). We are not the operator of any turf, the seller of any service, or the employer of any owner. We facilitate the booking and payment.

The contract for the actual sports facility booking is between you and the turf owner directly. Our role is technology + payment routing.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the platform only with consent of a parent or guardian. By using the platform you represent that you meet these conditions.

3. Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your phone (and OTP access) secure
  • You agree the information you provide is accurate
  • One account per person; multiple accounts may be terminated
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the platform (fraud, repeated no-shows, harassment of owners or players, etc.)

4. Bookings and payments

  • The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — base + GST + payment-gateway fees, broken down clearly
  • Payments are processed by PayU Money. We don't store your payment instrument
  • Once a booking is confirmed (after PayU success), the slot is yours for the booked window
  • Confirmation is sent via in-app, email, and SMS
  • Any dispute about a booking, refund, or amount should be raised with us via [email protected] within 7 days

5. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund policy is set by each turf owner, communicated at the time of booking, and processed manually by Turfgrass support. We do not auto-enforce cancellation tiers in v1.

  • If you no-show repeatedly, we may restrict your account
  • If a turf owner cancels on you, we will fully refund and credit you for the inconvenience (₹100 platform credit)
  • If the platform is unable to deliver a booking due to a system fault, you receive a full refund

6. For turf owners

  • You must own or have legal authority to rent the turf you list
  • You must complete KYC (PAN, GSTIN if applicable, bank details) before listing
  • Photos must be real and recent (within 6 months)
  • Pricing must be honoured — no surprise charges to players at the venue
  • You are responsible for the safety, condition, and operation of your turf
  • Turfgrass.in does not currently take a commission. We pass through GST (per the GST mode you select) and payment-gateway charges. We may introduce a commission in future with at least 30 days' notice
  • Payouts happen on a [weekly / bi-weekly] basis to your registered bank/UPI
  • You're responsible for your own GST filings; we provide booking-by-booking records

7. Reviews

  • Players may review turfs they have actually booked and used
  • Reviews must be honest and based on personal experience
  • We reserve the right to remove reviews that are abusive, false, or that violate our guidelines
  • Owners may reply to reviews but cannot delete them

8. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Book turfs for purposes other than legitimate sports/recreation
  • Scrape, copy, or republish platform content without permission
  • Attempt to interfere with the platform's security or operation
  • Use the platform to harass any user or owner
  • Submit false reviews, ratings, or KYC documents

9. Intellectual property

The Turfgrass name, logo, and all platform content are owned by Turfgrass.in. Owner-uploaded photos remain owned by the owner; by uploading you grant Turfgrass a worldwide, royalty-free license to display them on the platform.

10. Liability

Turfgrass.in provides the booking platform "as is". We are not liable for:

  • Injuries, accidents, or property loss occurring on or near a turf — that's between you and the turf owner
  • The condition or behaviour of any turf or owner — though we'll help mediate disputes in good faith
  • Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages

Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the booking giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

Before going to court, both sides agree to attempt mediation via written notice and a 30-day cooling-off period.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the latest version is always at this URL. Material changes will be emailed to you with at least 30 days' notice.
